Castro Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Friday, July 4th , 2070 The Charlestown Chiefs swept past the GCL Cardinals 11-4 today at Roger Dean Stadium, paced by third baseman José Castro. The 19-year-old Castro got 5 hits in 6 at-bats, helping to down the Cardinals. José Castro doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date Castro has chalked up a .306 average with 3 home runs, driven in 12 runs and scored 9 times. |
