Vikings Matsui Smacks 5 Hits Monday, August 18th , 2070 Sotatsu Matsui of the Point Place Vikings went on a hitting spree today against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp pitching staff, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but to no avail -- the Jumbo Shrimp put a damper on his day and prevailed 12-10 over the Vikings. "It was a heck of a day and I was kind of looking forward to a better ending than that," he said later. Sotatsu Matsui hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Dave Lawson in the 9th. In his 2070 season totals, Matsui has 8 home runs, .432 BA, .489 OBP, 27 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
