Indians Tagged with 7-5 Loss
|
The Chicago White Sox defeated the Cleveland Indians, 7-5, at U.S. Cellular Field. Chicago was led by 24-year old left fielder Ed Pinay, who went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Reliever Blayne Enlow picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Juan Ortega took the loss. The win lifted the Chicago record to 33-26.
Chicago took a 6-5 lead on Andres Perez's 13th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Perez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cleveland pitcher Juan Ortega visibly frustrated.
Perez told the Chicago Gazette: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
