Los Angeles Tumbles Again, Falls, 7-3, to Toronto
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Los Angeles Angels and Toronto Blue Jays get after it.
Marc Eberle, who finished 3rd in the AL in wins with 17 in 2030, had a strong outing for the Toronto Blue Jays against the Los Angeles Angels at Rogers Centre. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Eberle yielded 3 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-4.
Luis Mosso had a big 2-run home run for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Toronto leading 4-3 and a runner on 2nd, he got a knuckle curve from Adam Lyle, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2025 draft, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Jays ahead, 6-3.
Mosso called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
The Blue Jays, at 39-36, have now won 4 straight.
