|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Danny Richardson turned in an exceptional performance against the Seattle Mariners at Rogers Centre, resulting in a Toronto win, 3-2. Toronto reliever Tanh Dai picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Stephen Marchant absorbed the loss. Mike Cummings recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 1 for 2.
Gordie Davis, who is tied for 9th in the AL in extra base hits with 37, aided the Toronto cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Toronto manager Aaron Dunham.
The second-place Blue Jays have won 4 straight.
