Dahl Hits Two Dingers, White Sox Win, 7-3
|
Behind the hitting of Ron Dahl, the Chicago White Sox stopped the Minnesota Twins, 7-3. Dahl was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the White Sox. Chicago starter Jeff Stricker was credited with the win after throwing 93 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 7-5. Chicago has 3 straight wins, Minnesota 3 straight losses.
With Chicago leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Dahl hit a changeup from Bill Romero for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the White Sox ahead, 5-0.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Dahl.
