Giants Win, Now 57-37
|
The San Francisco Giants picked up a win at Dodger Stadium, taking down the Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-3. Starting pitcher Shamar Polite was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Polite, now 7-4. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. With the win, San Francisco raised its record to 57-37.
Billy Cardenales had an important at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season put San Francisco on top, 4-3.
Cardenales attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
