Giants Knock Off Milwaukee, 6-4
|
The San Francisco Giants racked up a win at Miller Park, bumping off the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-4. Shamar Polite, who started for San Francisco, pitched effectively for his team. The Giants bumped their record to 64-46 with this latest triumph.
San Francisco relied on the hitting of Andrew Benintendi to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Giants on top, 6-3. For the game, Benintendi had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Shamar -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Giants manager Vic Black. "He was the key to us winning."
