Cheetahs Deal Federals 13-2 Defeat

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Edmonton College Cheetahs topped the Wichita College Federals by the score of 13-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Guy Riel. Riel went 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Cheetahs on the day. Edmonton College pitcher Carl Woolfrey got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Frank Anderson got the loss.
With Edmonton College leading 10-2 in the top of the ninth, Riel came up to bat against Wichita College pitcher Yun Zhang. Riel hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Cheetahs on top, 13-2.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Riel told the Edmonton College Gazette.
Edmonton College now sits at 7-8, while Wichita College falls to 4-11.
