The Portland College Hammerheads had to overcome a good performance from Irvine College pitcher Danny DeLain to claim a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Portland College. DeLain went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Luc Brett finished the game for Portland College and earned his 11th save. The 18th-place Hammerheads lifted their record to 21-26.

Vince Rabinovich came through for Portland College with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in.

Irvine College manager Bill Paterson said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
