Giants Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Portland College
Portland College got a terrific game from catcher Howard Casey. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Surrey College, 6-2. Casey was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He hit 2 home runs. The save was credited to Dennis Eggleston, his 17th. Surrey College is now 30-23. Portland College is 21-32.

Jose Martinez contributed an important at-bat in the top of the first. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run. It was one at-bat that helped send Surrey College to the win.
