Yale right fielder Mike Rosenfeld rose to the occasion at Jets Ballpark, leading the Bulldogs to a Game 1 victory over the Dartmouth Big Green. Rosenfeld went 3-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 5 times and drove in 4 as the Bulldogs won, 19-14, to seize a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 Local Series.

Yale used the hitting of Scott McAlear to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bulldogs on top, 11-8. For the game, McAlear had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Rosenfeld, "to ramp up the pressure."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Jets Ballpark in Dartmouth.
