Milkmen Win Wild Card Round
The Milwaukee Milkmen clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Cleveland Spiders room was filled with despair and sadness after the Wild Card Round concluded.

"Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Joe Morgan, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance.

Milwaukee won the final game by a 4-1 count at Milkmen Stadium and the series 4-1.

Cleveland manager Tony de Avila was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series.

"They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said.

For the series, Morgan hit .429 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Milwaukee Milkmen will play against the Winnipeg Possums in the next round. Winnipeg had a bye in the Wild Card Round. The Divisional Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Round finishes.
