Possums Earn 11-7 Win Versus Milwaukee
Milwaukee third baseman Chris Bailey pounded Winnipeg Possums pitchers at Milkmen Stadium, but it was not enough to keep the Milkmen from falling, 11-7. Bailey hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Possums raised their record to 67-49.

Winnipeg relied on the hitting of Tony Villegas to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Possums on top, 8-6. For the game, Villegas had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Winnipeg skipper Stéphane Marais. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
