New York Beats Salem, 5-1

The Salem Wolfpack and New York Bombers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Mike Vail knocked in 3 runs to help New York beat Salem, 5-1. Vail produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Joe Reynolds, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-9. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Getting the save was Cameron Walker, his 1st.
Vail had a big hit for New York with one out in the top of the fifth. With New York leading 2-0, Vail hit a 2-run home run. It was his 24th home run of the season and put the Bombers up, 4-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Vail said.
New York is now 61-70.
