The Palm Springs Sun overcame a good performance by Toulouse second baseman Matt MacDermid to knock off Toulouse, 8-4, at Toulouse. MacDermid went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Chris Peterson earned the win to go to 8-3. He allowed 2 earned runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 2 strikeouts. The Sun sit in 5th place in the Sandy Koufax Duke Schnieder Division with a record of 49-56.

Palm Springs used a timely hit from Wayne Bartak to get the win. The second baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put the Sun on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Bartak.
