|
Capital City Kings starter Kevin Davis was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Key West Unicorns, 3-1. The win was credited to Rich Sims in relief. His record improves to 7-1. Jason Nelson took the loss. The Kings saw their win-loss record go to 63-57. At the same time, the Unicorns fell to 62-58.
Capital City took a 2-1 lead on Sung-ho Kim's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Kim hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Key West pitcher Jason Nelson visibly frustrated.
Davis said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
