High Rollers Win, 5-3, at Salem
|
Las Vegas left-hander Ernie Benoit pitched his team to victory over the Salem Wolfpack at The Den. The final score was 5-3. Benoit got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Benoit allowed 2 runs. William Richard picked up the save, his 7th.
Early in the game, third baseman Ian Bates had a 2-run home run for Las Vegas. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the High Rollers on top, 2-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Bates after the game.
The Wolfpack fall to 10-15 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2040 season.
