The Minneapolis Millers defeated the Las Vegas Pocket Aces, 12-10, in Whitey Ford action at Minneapolis, with Minneapolis first baseman David Weatherstone named player of the game. The Millers bumped their record to 53-51 with this latest triumph.

Minneapolis took a 10-9 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, second baseman Barry Skiffington hit a 2-run home run that brought the crowd to its feet.

"Ugly win or not, we'll take it," said Weatherstone.
