Griffins Hang 4-3 Loss on Clippers
|
The Glendale Griffins picked up a win at The King's Throne, knocking off the Columbus Clippers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Chris McCulloh played a key role in the triumph. Ryan Goldman, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. The Griffins now have a mark of 73-54.
Dustin Weisser dealt the Clippers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Glendale trailing 2-1, Weisser, who is tied for 10th in the WFL in hits with 134, hit a 1-0 splitter for a 3-run home run.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said McCulloh.
