Delta and Edmonton duked it out and the Huskies came out victorious.

The Delta Huskies beat the Edmonton Blizzard, 5-2. Delta pitcher and Americus, Georgia, native Mike May led the way. May, now 4-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Bob Soliven recorded the save for Delta, his 4th of the season.

The Huskies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jarrett Velez, who in the top of the fourth hit a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Huskies on top, 5-0.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Velez said (again).

The loss puts Edmonton at 15-8.
