Peck goes 4-for-5 in Fisher Cats Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Casper Cowboys.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats trumped the Casper Cowboys, 8-6, at Pilot Field. New Hampshire first baseman Walt Peck was terrific. He went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. New Hampshire reliever Jae-shin Jang picked up the win to move to 1-0. Kusumo Layar suffered the loss. Jeff Keegan nailed down his 10th save.

Walt Peck's at-bat in the bottom of the eighth was a game-changer. With the bases loaded and the Fisher Cats trailing 6-5, the 23-year old first baseman stroked a bases-clearing double.

"We played hard and won," said Peck. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

New Hampshire now sits at 24-25, while Casper falls to 25-24.
