Fireballs Lose to Blue Wahoos in Walk Off
The Anaheim Blue Wahoos did just enough to secure a victory over the Fanning Springs Fireballs, 8-7, at Koodo Center. Nobody did more than right fielder John Sprague. Alfredo Gonzalez picked up the win in relief for Anaheim, while Roberto Nunez took the loss. With the win, the Blue Wahoos have a record of 24-27.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Anaheim pinch hitter Roberto Cardenas, facing Roberto Nunez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Blue Wahoos the 8-7 win.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Christian Lindsey said.
