Quakes RF McKibben goes 3-for-4 in Win
|
The Las Vegas HS Quakes relied on the hitting of right fielder Roy McKibben to stop the Boston HS Jaguars, 7-5. For the game, McKibben was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Mike Miller. At 16-9, the Quakes find themselves in second place in the Abbott & Costello Robin Williams.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Las Vegas HS right fielder Roy McKibben hit a 3-run home run, helping his team get the win.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," McKibben told the Las Vegas HS Gazette.
