Good production from left fielder Rodolfo Gonzalez helped the Markham College Loggerheads topple the Richmond College Slammers, 7-5. Gonzalez was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Loggerheads. The win was credited to Chris Shelley in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Dale Fosdick took the loss. The win gives Markham College a record of 6-6.

With runs few and far between, the Loggerheads had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Markham College came in the bottom of the third inning, when center fielder Coltin Downam delivered a 2-run home run. The home run was hit off Dale Fosdick and made the score 4-1, Loggerheads. Downam was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
