|
No matter what the Nashville HS Vipers threw at him today, Aaron Johnson hit it. He easily handled Vipers pitching, going 7 for 7 and helping the Steelers to a 23-6 triumph at Ballpark of Nashville HS.
"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Johnson's quip, Vipers skipper Troy Baker said he "would take him up on that next time."
Aaron Johnson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Johnson is hitting .496 so far this season with 32 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 68 hits including 3 home runs, 10 walks and .533 OBP.
