Vulcans Fall Short, 5-4, at Port Moresby
|
George Rasolea helped his team muscle past the Vanuatu Vulcans, 5-4. In the game, the Port Moresby first baseman went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ravuama Fuli earned the save, his 1st, for the Wigmen. The Wigmen, now 14-7, have been playing some good baseball.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Rasolea, who finished 3rd in the ML in slugging percentage with .503 last year, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Wigmen into the lead, 1-0.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Rasolea. "Those qualities define our team."
