The Tafuna Clippers got a strong performance from pitcher Totilini Tuakoi, who stymied the Papeete offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Black Pearls Ballpark. Pat Hakwa closed the game out for Tafuna, earning his 1st save. With the win, Tafuna is 2-4.

Tafuna used the bat of Bertrand Tasere to get the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Clippers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Tuakoi.
