The Avarua Kiore picked up a win at Ballpark of Avarua, taking down the Tonga Kings, 5-3. Starting pitcher Mason Batty was a big reason why. The Kiore raised their record to 25-38.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Harvey Otukolo stroked a go-ahead solo home run. It was his 20th home run of the season and put Avarua in front, 4-3.

"Mason just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Avarua manager Liam Maroney.
