Babin Wins MAAA Player of the Week Trophy Monday, October 5th , 2065 So far in his young career, Florent Babin has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Melanesia AAA in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Bulolo Green Sox first baseman hit at a torrid .379 clip as he collected 11 hits in 29 at-bats, 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. In 118 games this season Babin has compiled a .270 batting average with 127 hits and 35 home runs. He has also scored 77 times and knocked in 77 runs. |
