Vakasiuola Tosses 8-0 Shutout Against Madang Tuesday, May 18th, 2038 It wasn't easy but the Lautoka Force made it look that way. Starter Henele Vakasiuola shut out the Madang Crocodiles despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Lautoka Force cruised to victory, 8-0. Vakasiuola allowed only 2 hits and rang up 11 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." |
