Lui Belts 5 Hits Monday, June 15th , 2065 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Leon Lui of the Lami HS Indians had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 8-1 win over the Ypané HS Horned Frogs at Progressive Field. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 16-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Leon Lui singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Looking at his season stats, Lui has compiled a .421 batting average and a .450 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 4 runs. |
