Buenaflor, Shimizu Suspended for Fracas Wednesday, July 1st , 2065 If there wasn't a history between Nherbert Buenaflor of Lifou and Hiroshi Shimizu of Yalu, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 11 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Buenaflor said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Buenaflor is batting .227 with 7 home runs and 24 RBIs this season. To date this season Shimizu has compiled a 1-0 record with a 1.01 ERA in 0 starts. |
