Kuila Swats 3 HR Against Tavua Sunday, August 2nd , 2065 It was a good day for the Port Vila Mariners and an exceptional one for Osaiasi Kuila. The 21-year-old center fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Mariners beat the Tavua Fruit Bats 8-3 at Ballpark of Juan Augusto SaldÃvar. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Kuila said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 7 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Osaiasi Kuila walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Harry Yalayalatabua in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Seta Tamanitoakula in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Mitchell Kenatale in the 9th.
