League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Texas Prevails
|
The Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles held nothing back in an entertaining League Championship Series that went the distance.
In the end, it will be Texas advancing to the World Series, after a 2-0 triumph in the final game at Globe Life Park in Arlington, to wrap up the series 4-3.
The Rangers players celebrated jubilantly in their clubhouse after the game, while the scene was one of dismay on the opposing side for the Orioles.
Greg Twitty was named series MVP for Texas. For the series, Twitty hit .409 with a .458 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Texas Rangers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Milwaukee Brewers - St. Louis Cardinals series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
