Tigers Trip White Sox, 5-4, in Extra Innings
|
Chicago left fielder Rey Nealis had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Detroit at Comerica Park. Nealis was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk. Detroit now has a record of 85-76 with the win.
The Tigers procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Eric Dillehay. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
In postgame remarks, Dillehay simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
