St. Louis Wins Divisional Round
The St. Louis Cardinals have swept the Washington Potomacs and are on to the League Championship Series. St. Louis won 2-1 today at Nationals Park to clinch the Divisional Round.

"We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said St. Louis third baseman José Ríos, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning."

Ríos won the award with a .667 batting average and a .727 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.

The League Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
