The Fairview Red Devils bested the Cornwall Blue Jackets, 4-2, at Blue Jackets Ballpark. Liam Wright was one of the standouts. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tim Cook snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-0 on the season. Eli Hammond suffered the loss. Ken Campbell got credit for the save for Fairview. It was his 2nd of the year.
Wright had a timely hit for Fairview in the top of the seventh. With Fairview trailing 2-1, he turned a 0-2 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Fairview.
"We've got a great group of guys," Wright said, "and we're having fun right now."
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Red Devils.
