Blue Jackets Beaten, 5-1, by Tigers

Riding the 2-hit performance of the 19-year old third baseman Octávio Carrasco, the Princeton Tigers stopped the Cornwall Blue Jackets, 5-1. The winner in relief was Ben Beck. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. The Tigers now own a record of 21-43.
Corey Baldwin drove in one run for Princeton. The 19-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Kelvin Walters. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
Carrasco said afterward that "winning, obviously, is the main objective."
