Ironmen Earn Win with Late Rally

Stuarts Draft and Beaver duked it out and the Ironmen came out victorious.
The Stuarts Draft Ironmen did just enough to sneak past the Beaver Fighters, 3-2, at Ballpark of Beaver. Stuarts Draft pitcher Bob O'Donnell, in particular, had a standout performance. Bob Turley picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jeff Fitzpatrick suffered the loss. Joe Taylor collected save number 10.
Stuarts Draft used the timely hitting of Alfredo Delgado to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ironmen on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I like what I saw today," said Stuarts Draft manager , "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The first-place Ironmen have won 5 in a row.
