River Cats Rally Late to Clip Indianapolis

At Haynesville Grounds, the Indianapolis ABCs and Haynesville River Cats were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Sergio Paredes was outstanding against Indianapolis. The right-hander had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a River Cats 1-0 win. Jim Unknown, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 2.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Aurelio Morales earned save number 11 this season.
Had Luis Martínez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Martínez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the River Cats.
"Sergio attacked hitters and trusted his stuff," said Haynesville manager .
Haynesville, at 27-17, sits in second place in the Aarons League South Division.
