Palominos Win Streak Now at 6 After 2-1 Victory
|
The Palo Alto Palominos earned a close win over the London Fog, thanks in part to Chris Griggs. The Palo Alto right-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in innings pitched with 88.0, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Griggs, now 8-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Palo Alto, now 39-17, holds down second place in the Aarons League North Division.
In the bottom of the third, José Dallaglio delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Palo Alto designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Palominos in front, 2-1.
