Fall River Nets 3-2 Win Versus Railroaders

The Fall River Rough Riders got a good effort from starter Rocky Honeycutt in defeating the Newport Railroaders at Granite Grounds. The final score was 3-2. Chris Foster notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 3-0. Jesús Suárez recorded the save, making him 16 for 17.
Had José Díaz not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Díaz hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rough Riders.
