The London Fog took Dunedin pitcher Tim Murphy's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Nightowls Stadium. The final score had London getting past the Blue Jays, 4-1. Murphy went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 6. Motoyasu Takahashi, the winning pitcher, is now 8-16. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 2. Eric Pérez sewed up the save, his 17th.

The Blue Jays had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Fog going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old catcher Lonnie Taylor came to the plate. Taylor hit a bases-clearing double on a first pitch sinker from Dunedin hurler Tim Murphy. It was Taylor's 18th double of the year.

"I like what I saw today," said London manager , "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."

The win makes London 40-85, nothing to write home about.
