London Downed, 10-6, by ABCs
|
The Indianapolis ABCs in 11 innings downed the London Fog, 10-6, at Nightowls Stadium. Timoteo Capellari led the way, going 3-for-5 for Indianapolis. B.J. Powell, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in saves with 29, picked up the win in relief. Chris Young took the loss for London. The 5th-place ABCs go to 62-67.
Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Jorge Ortíz to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the ABCs on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"This was a tremendous character win for our team," said Indianapolis manager .
