The Palo Alto Palominos, despite a fine performance by London pitcher Kelvin Sanders, grabbed a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Nightowls Stadium. Sanders allowed 2 runs over 8 innings. With the win, Palo Alto raised its record to 79-57.
Palo Alto used a timely hit from Kunihiko Hayagawa to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Palominos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Hayagawa.
