Trojans Knock Off Hawks at Field of the River Hawks

The game between Euless and Shawville is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Euless Trojans trumped the Shawville Hawks, 4-1, at Field of the River Hawks. Euless catcher Don Brown was terrific. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. José Cruz, the winner, is now 1-0. He struck out 2 and walked 4 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 1 run on 5 hits. Cipriano Ruíz earned the save for Euless, his 3rd of the year.
Early in the game, Brown had a 2-run home run for Euless. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Trojans on top, 2-0.
"Feels good to get the job done," Brown said after the game.
With the win, Euless lifts its record to 5-6.
