Silkworms Stop Insomniacs, 2-1

Silkworms Ballpark featured a tense pitchers' duel.
Prescott pitcher Eric Tucker had a large part in his team beating the Barrow Insomniacs, 2-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Tucker, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk.
Nate Lee had a big solo home run for the Silkworms in the bottom of the third inning. With Prescott leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Payne and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Silkworms on top, 2-0.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Tucker.
The win makes Prescott 19-15.
