González K's 10 En Route to 2-1 Jets Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between Greentown Jets and the Plum Shorebirds, pitcher Víctor González was the difference-maker. The Greentown right-hander handcuffed the opposition, to help his team pocket a 2-1 win. After today's action, Greentown sits at 26-10; Plum slips to 13-23.
Though he didn't earn the victory, González kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Greentown offense came through. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 hits and 1 run, while striking out 10.
