Los Angeles starter A.R. Bates was credited with the win after throwing 98 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 8-4. Benedicto Deleón picked up his 3rd save of the season.
Jerry Odom, the first overall pick in the 2086 draft, helped out the Los Angeles cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4 with a walk.
Said losing manager Tim Gallagher: "We just didn't get it done tonight."
